Saturday Brunch with Fondita Mestiza (23th May)

23th May Brunch!

This is a bi-weekly brunch hosted in our gallery-studio, Mestiza, where we offer a menu of chilaquiles, pan dulce, and drinks, an invitation to spend your mornings differently, taking care of your body and mind.

This menu is part of an ongoing exploration by Fondita Mestiza: a narrative shaped by maize and wheat as foundations of Mexican identity, and how these histories shift and resonate within an Irish context. Through food, we open a space for reflection, memory, and connection, but also as a space to keep building a community. 

Additionally, this brunch is accompanied by an exhibition by Cuban artist Brady Izquierdo, titled Elote. The exhibition presents a body of work centered around maize and its many functions beyond nourishment. Through a series of illustrations, it explores how maize operates as a device of power, struggle, and resistance within communities in Mexico and across migrant contexts.

Brady Izquierdo will also be present during the brunch, creating live caricatures for guests.

You are welcome to enjoy the chilaquiles in our studio, or if you prefer, you can collect them to take away.

Menu: 

Chilaquiles
Blue corn totopos with our homemade red salsa, topped with fresh cheese, crema, red onion, avocado, and slow-cooked shredded meat.

OR

Vegetarian Chilaquiles
Same base, topped with wild mushrooms instead of meat.

Drinks included:

• Jamaica (hibiscus) agua fresca or homemade horchata
• Café de olla 

+ and a  surprise sweet pastry made by: El Michelín! 

All for 30 euros

Booking Confirmation: Once payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. 

If you choose takeaway, your order can be collected between 12:00 PM and 1:30PM

Due to the nature of the event and our production in a shared kitchen, we cannot guarantee that our food is free from allergens.

Our dishes may contain or come into contact with allergens such as gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, and others.

If you have severe allergies, please speak to a member of our team before ordering.

Terms & Policies

As our chilaquiles are prepared fresh for the event, we kindly ask that any cancellations be made at least 72 hours in advance.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event, as food preparation will have already begun.
