What is the workshop going to be about?

Would you like to learn how to create fantastical worlds inspired by surrealist artists like Remedios Varo and Maruja Mallo?

Discover the magic of decalcomania and unlock a world of imagination. With this unique technique, you’ll transfer paint from plastic to paper, creating unexpected and mesmerizing patterns. We'll guide you through this evocative process to create your own surreal landscapes filled with symbolism and personal narratives.

Find inspiration from the works of these extraordinary women artists who found refuge in Mexico during the Spanish Civil War. Despite being overlooked for too long, they became important members of the Surrealist movement, and their legacy endures. Let's explore the depths of your imagination and create your own surreal masterpieces!

Towards the end of the workshop, we will share a cake accompanied by coffee and tea, where we will discuss the pieces created by each participant.
