Pop up: Ricas Tortas

Mexican tortas are one of the pillars of Mexico’s vast street food culture. In Mexico City in particular, torta stalls represent a well-defined tradition where, instead of corn and tortillas, wheat becomes the central ally. Through the use of bread, these stalls create an endless variety of tortas.

Their range seems limitless, there are tortas of every possible flavor and combination. Torta stands often become a daily refuge for workers and students who need to reach their destinations quickly, yet still want to enjoy something satisfying and comforting. A torta can shift your mood; it is fast food, but also emotional food.

For this pop-up, our intention is to recreate some of these iconic Mexico City, style tortas while introducing an Irish twist. By working with Irish-style bread and local ingredients, we build a bridge between Irish sambos and Mexican tortas. We invite you into our studio to experience this encounter, whether you choose to enjoy your torta on-site or take it with you.

Love me like a Mexican:

Breaded chicken milanesa, mozzarella cheese, refried beans, lettuce and tomato.

Éirinn go Brách:

Glazed ham, melted cheese, raspberry–chipotle salsa and rocket salad. 

Speak to me in vegetarian: 

Mascarpone, blue cheese and rosemary manchego, caramelized onions, sundried tomatoes and rocket salad.

Each torta includes: Roasted potatoes+ agua fresca (Horchata or Jamaica)+salsa roja or salsa macha or pickled jalapeños!

Booking Confirmation: Once payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. We will then contact you to ask which torta you would like.

Due to the nature of the event and our production in a shared kitchen, we cannot guarantee that our food is free from allergens.

Our dishes may contain or come into contact with allergens such as gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, and others.

If you have severe allergies, please speak to a member of our team before ordering.

Terms & Policies

As our Tortas are prepared fresh for the event, we kindly ask that any cancellations be made at least 72 hours in advance.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event, as food preparation will have already begun.
