In Mexico, Candelaria Day is the perfect excuse to eat tamales.
Friends, family, or coworkers get together, someone brings the tamales, someone makes the atole, and the moment is shared.

At Fondita Mestiza, we’re bringing that everyday tradition into the studio:
freshly made tamales, a small but welcoming space. If this was the year you were supposed to bring the tamales, we’ll be waiting for you. 

You are welcome to enjoy your tamales in our studio, or if you prefer, you can collect them to take away.

Menu: 

Traditional Mexican tamales made with nixtamalised corn dough and slow-cooked fillings.

Rajas with Cheese Tamal (Vegetarian): Nixtamalised corn dough filled with jalapeño pepper in tomato salsa and melted cheese.

Served with fresh cheese and sour cream.

Slow-Cooked Shredded Beef Tamal: Red corn tamal filled with slow-cooked shredded beef in red salsa.

Served with fresh cheese and sour cream.

Accessibility: The Studio/Gallery is 2nd floor without a lift access.

Booking Confirmation: Once payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. We will then contact you to ask which tamal flavour you would like.

Due to the nature of the event and our production in a shared kitchen, we cannot guarantee that our food is free from allergens.

Our dishes may contain or come into contact with allergens such as gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, and others.

If you have severe allergies, please speak to a member of our team before ordering.

Terms & Policies

As our tamales are prepared fresh for the event, we kindly ask that any cancellations be made at least 72 hours in advance.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event, as food preparation will have already begun.
